<p>Herein, the removal of heavy metals on thiol modified oak charcoal was investigated. The characterized by X-ray diffraction, granulometric analysis and infrared spectroscopy. Then, its adsorption efficiency for Cd2+, Cu2+ Pb2+ from water tested. effects several conditions were investigated such as contact time, pH, electrolytes initial metal ions concentration. capacities high (197, 250 214 mg g-1 respectively). selectivity also dependent nature functional group used. mechanism is complex where types interaction between adsorbent surface are involved.</p>
